Lee O. Ahlborn (they/them) is an artist, educator, and social justice advocate living and working in the greater Boston area. A Communications graduate from Northwestern University, Lee began their career as a theatre for young audiences professional in Chicago, working as a production manager, stage manager, teaching artist, and arts administrator. They have extensive experience in the non-profit arts sector, including work with the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, Adventure Stage Chicago, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Mudlark Theater, For Youth Inquiry, and Filament Theatre, where they are currently a board member and chair of Filament’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access committee. Lee also has a background in sexual health education and sexual violence prevention work, and has worked with the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health and Northwestern University to create participatory theatre experiences for young people rooted in the Reproductive Justice framework. Transferring these skills into a corporate setting, Lee now works as a Diversity Recruiting Specialist at Bain & Company, where they help drive Bain’s undergraduate recruiting partnership strategy and execution. They are closely involved with Bain’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including BGLAD (Bain’s LGBTQ+ affinity group) and Bain Boston’s DEI programming team.
