 FAQs

  • Each Circle can have as few as 4 participants and as many as 12 participants. The Seen@Work Team has found that Circles are most successful when they have 6-8 participants.

  • A Seen@Work facilitator and coach is assigned to lead each Circle. They mange the conversation, allow participants to build relationships with each other, and encourage professional development through the Circle sessions.

  • Circles are designed to support community building and to provide professional development. The Circle itself is one hour each month for 6 or 12 months. Articles and resources are sent before Circle sessions to support the topic of the Circle, requiring no more than 30-45mins of time to review.

  • The Seen@Work team will work with your organization to determine how many Circles to offer and whether there should be special composition. Seen@Work team will also work with the organization to effectively “launch” the Circles, which includes sending communications to participants, soliciting the interest of participants, and avoiding conflicts of interest within the group.

    While the Circles are ongoing, Seen@Work helps with scheduling the Circles month to month.

  • Yes! Cirlces can consist of participants across levels and across a variety of backgrounds. Seen@Work has also facilitated Circles with participants from specific backgrounds and/or seniority levels.

    For example, organizations my choose to offer Circles that cater specifically to middle managers, senior managers, or employees within the same role, i.e. Human Resource Business Partners or Plant Supervisors. Seen@Work has also worked with Employee Resource Groups or Inclusion and Engagement teams to offer Circles to employees with a similar background, i.e. women, LGBTQ+ employees, Black employees, or caretakers.
